Skye was our pick from the Maggie x Finn litter. She has one blue eye and one marble eye (part blue and part amber). She is very vocal and shares her opinions about pretty much anything going on. She loves to sleep right next to us on the bed and frequently steals the pillow! She has recently started her agility career and is already excelling at the Masters level in AKC agility and at the Elite level in ASCA agility. She is great at frisbee and loves to play tag with the other dogs. Her nickname is "Princess" because she's just so thoughtful and beautiful! She is red-factored and we are looking forward to awesome puppies from her.
Loki came to us from a friend and fellow breeder after the tragic loss of Rubi. We weren't sure we were ready for a dog so soon after Rubi so we kept her for a week and then she was welcomed with open arms to our family. Beautiful black tri markings with an enormous coat, Loki is just stunning. She is the calmest, sweetest dog except when she is doing agility or it's play time and then she is all business!
Maggie was our pick from Azi and Orbit's first litter. She had a heart-shape on her nose and an alertness and sweetness that made her 'the one'. She has her dad's beautiful coat, sweet disposition and smarts. She excels at frisbee and agility and is currently competing at the Master's level in AKC agility.
While not officially an 'Aussie' we call Abe the Aussie Brother from another Mother! Abe was supposed to be Jim's dog to keep him company while I played agility with the other Aussies. Unfortunately for Jim, he let me have him to train and, well, turns out he's pretty darn good at agility and LOVES it! He also loves disc and is super athletic. When he's not playing agility or disc or 'patrolling' the grounds, he's a snuggle buddy and so sweet. Love this boy to the moon!
We brought Orbit into our household to breed with Azi. She was a stunning black tri and had lots of energy. We also trained her for agility but my handling couldn't keep up with her so we moved on to making babies and she was a fantastic momma dog. She was happiest when taking care of her puppies!
We wanted Azi to have a 'partner in crime' and Rubi was the perfect one for that! We realized much later when we had already had her fixed that she was descended from the famous Las Rocosa line of Australian Shepherds. She was sweet and crafty and loved to fetch (frisbee, sticks, whatever) more than life itself. She excelled at agility (mainly USDAA) and she and Azi competed together for many years.
Azi came to us from Pat Stout of Suncatcher Aussies in Jacksonville FL. He learned quickly from Sydney and had the sweetest temperament. His coat, head and structure were absolutely stunning and he was indeed a Beautiful Blue Boy (that's where the Triple B in his name came from). He was my first agility dog and took to it like a duck to water. I barely had to train him (though I was not the best handler) and we competed for many years together. We decided we wanted to try to carry on those traits by breeding Azi and he didn't disappoint!
Sydney was our first Aussie and was an only dog until we brought Azi home in 2005. He was the smartest, most trainable dog we'd ever owned (and we'd owned many other breeds in the past). Sydney would get the newspaper from the driveway, recycle for us (taking milk jugs to the recycle bin), catch a frisbee and do other amazing things. We knew as he got up in years that we wanted to get a puppy that he could help us train (yes, dogs learn from other dogs in their pack!).
